Oh Yay Computer

The way I sometimes fall asleep

I've never talked to anyone about how I fall asleep sometimes. I'm a bit afraid someone might think I'm a bit mad (maybe I am). I generally have a very easy time falling asleep. I feel lucky. It seems everyone else has trouble sleeping. I almost never do. If I'm awake longer than a few minutes, what I will do is allow my brain to just start producing nonsense dialog. The best way I can explain it is that my brain is, in a way, offline and while words are being strung together, they make absolutely no sense and they aren't words I'm thinking of. They just appear. I've never tried to articulate this and now that I am (trying), I don't think I'm doing it much justice. I'm fascinated by it because I have absolutely no idea where the words are coming from. They're not saying anything. They're not telling me to do anything. I couldn't even really tell you whose voice they are in, but I do hear them as if they are being whispered in my ear. I guess I should also mention I wear dense earplugs that block out almost all sounds. That is, except for my tinnitus.
